Dubai International Convention Centre

Dubai International Convention Centre

The state-of-the-art Dubai International Convention Centre (DICC), which is positioned as the MICE (Meetings, Incentive and Congress Events) destination of the future and designed to fill a perceived niche in the market, is a high-tech venue large enough to accommodate up to 12,000 delegates.

Located 15 minutes from Dubai International Airport and 5 minutes from the World Trade Centre, it’s the hub of all events in Dubai. International conferences, medical and healthcare events, entertainment-related events, real estate exhibitions, IT-related events and much more makes the DICC the business district by itself on Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai.

The DICC made its international debut as the appointed host venue for the 2003 Annual General Meetings of the Boards of Governors of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in September2003, when around 16,000 art ending delegates from around the world greatly appreciated the high-tech facilities of the venue,

The DICC is tailored to be the ultimate answer to MICE organizers’ dream. The futuristic, state-of-the-art (7,760 square meters) multi-purpose Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum Hall is the centrepiece which can be divided by operable soundproof walls, configured to accommodate four large meeting rooms. It has the capacity to comfortably accommodate from 600 to 6000 delegates. At maximum capacity as an auditorium, it can accommodate 2,500 retractable seats in a tiered setting with an additional 2,000 seats on the ‘flat’. The multi-purpose hail is also linked to the Sheikh Maktoum Hall (8,835 Sq. mt.), which in itself divides into 5 areas, significantly enhancing the centre’s capacity to provide solutions for even the most complex events such as theatrical productions, musical extravaganzas and other entertainment.

The flexibility of the Sheikh Rashid Hall is one of the highlights of the facility that enables it to be used in various configurations for multifarious purposes as the need may be. The Sheikh Rashid Hall can be configured to include tour large meeting rooms. Also located at ground level - two rooms to accommodate up to 547 delegates and another two which can accommodate up to 767 delegates.

The new centre is complemented by a range of accommodation options on-site with two hotels flanking on both sides of the complex - a 412- room Novotel and a 210-room Ibis business hotel.
